For over 25 years Br. Richard Cragg has sung tenor with the internationally acclaimed choir Gloriæ Dei Cantores, singing in over 15 different languages in 20 different countries. His love and passion for the arts have led him to assist and lead music workshops for young people in South Africa, South Korea, Australia, and across the United States.
Performance highlights as a tenor soloist include singing the role of Evangelist in Bach’s Saint Mathew’s Passion, Jonathan in Händel’s oratorio Saul, Evangelist in Sowerby’s Forsaken of Man, Mister By-Ends in the 2005 New England Premiere of Vaughan Williams’s opera The Pilgrim’s Progress, and the tenor soloist for Grammy award-winning artist Mark O’Connor’s New York City Debut of his work Let Us Move. He has sung on numerous recordings with Gloriæ Dei Cantores, including as a tenor soloist on From the Ends of The Earth, Peace Be With You, Appalachian Sketches, and Mozart and Brahms. Br. Richard continues to perform in concert and sing in worship services as part of Gloriæ Dei Cantores at the Church of the Transfiguration, Orleans, MA.
