Since 1994 Peter McKendree has toured and performed with the internationally acclaimed Gloriæ Dei Cantores, traveling across the US and abroad, performing in some of the finest concert halls throughout Europe. His baritone solo repertoire has included works by Vaughan Williams, Finzi, Mozart, Buxtehude, and Bach. As a young singer, he studied voice with Dorothy Richardson and the late Dr. George Guest, David Hill, Dr. Mary Berry, and Craig Timberlake.
Being a trumpet player for over 20 years has led Mr. McKendree to study with the Gomalan Brass Quintet in Italy, play on several recordings, and perform as a part of the 900th Anniversary Celebration of San Marco in Venice. With a great passion for young people, Mr. McKendree has taught music to students across the United States and in South Africa, South Korea, and Australia.
Peter McKendree is currently the director of the boys choir at the Church of the Transfiguration and continues to sing in concerts, recordings, and weekly worship services with Gloriæ Dei Cantores.
